Hindsight 2020

They say that hindsight is 20/20. The project by Abz Da Poet is a snapshot of the tumultuous year and events of 2020 while looking back into the past for the solutions that still plague American society. Inspired by and particularly focusing on El Hajj Malik Shabazz's transformation shortly before his death, we find a side of Malcolm X that has gotten commonly overlooked, especially during recent times of heightened racial tensions. Hindsight 2020 is a poetry project that combines elements of hip-hop lyrics and style minus the musical instruments or beats.
